Günther Uecker, Original Lithography signed and numbered from 2003 in a Swiss hand-made Plexiglas case, a limited edition of 40 with giclee technique in Minimalism, measuring 69 by 49 cm and in good condition with frame included.
Description from the seller
An extraordinary autographed and numbered lithograph by Günther Uecker, one of the most important German artists of the postwar era and a central representative of the international ZERO movement.
The work is signed and dated in pencil at the bottom right and numbered in pencil at the bottom left.
It comes from a small limited edition of only 40 copies.
About the work:
The composition is defined by numerous dark, gestural traces that rhythmically spread across the pale image field. The individual marks appear spontaneously and bodily placed, coalescing into a lively, almost pulsating structure.
Precisely the interplay between repetition and variation, order and motion, light area and dark traces is characteristic of Uecker’s artistic engagement with rhythm, structure, and space.
Although Uecker is best known for his famous nail reliefs, these central themes of his oeuvre are also reflected in his works on paper and in his print graphics.
Framing:
The work is professionally and high-quality framed in an exclusive Swiss hand-made Plexiglas showcase.
Plexiglas showcase dimensions: approx. 69 x 49 cm
About the artist:
Günther Uecker (1930–2025) is among the most important German artists of the postwar era and has been a member of the international ZERO movement since 1961, alongside Heinz Mack and Otto Piene.
