Giuseppe Fortunato is a renowned contemporary artist whose career began early, with his first exhibition abroad in 1983 at the age of just 27.
A pivotal turning point in his career occurred in the 1980s with the Assempaforismo.
Towards the late 1980s, he created the IMAGES movement together with other Abruzzese artists.
In 2013 he founded the Giuseppe Fortunato Foundation, dedicated to archiving and sharing his artistic legacy.
Fortunato's artistic career has been marked by his exploration of deep, non-superficial emotions.
He achieved early success in Italy and expanded his reach to the United Kingdom and across Europe and in the USA.
As a painter, sculptor and designer, Giuseppe Fortunato's work evolved toward a surreal aesthetic, ultimately reaching his distinctive "Colate" style: colored and fluid glazes applied to large flat surfaces.
