Antique Solid Silver 900 Permanent Match / Vesta – Art Deco – Complete – Hallmarked
Offered for auction is an elegant and unusual antique permanent match / pocket lighter, crafted in silver and displaying a distinctive geometric design with deep blue decorative accents.
The piece has a compact rectangular form and a refined period appearance. The geometric blue line decoration and central diamond-shaped motif give the object a particularly attractive Art Deco character.
The removable striker/match component is preserved and the piece is therefore offered complete, an important feature for collectors of early smoking accessories and mechanical curiosities.
The silver component bears a clearly visible “900” fineness mark, indicating 900/1000 silver. Additional small marks are also visible on the body; please study the detailed photographs, which form an integral part of the description.
The object also incorporates a small suspension ring, allowing it to have originally been carried on a chain, watch chain or similar accessory.
Condition: The piece is preserved in good antique condition with natural patina, surface marks and traces of use consistent with its age. The original blue geometric decoration remains clearly visible and gives the object considerable visual appeal.
The permanent match is currently not in working condition and is therefore offered as a collectible object, decorative antique or for possible restoration.
An attractive and increasingly difficult-to-find example of a silver pocket smoking accessory, combining precious metal, compact mechanical construction and elegant period decoration.
Particularly suitable for collectors of antique silver, vestas, permanent matches, vintage lighters, smoking accessories and Art Deco objects.
The item is sold exactly as shown. Please examine all photographs carefully for the condition, hallmarks, construction and decorative details.
