Description from the seller

Gorgeous vintage gasoline lighter from COP Paris (model patented COP Paris Patent engraved on the base). This lighter with a tube/bi-colour lipstick design emblematic of the Art Deco period (1940s–1950s) is made of lightweight anodized aluminum with a beautiful carved gold finish and bright red.

Highlights & Condition:
* 100% Functional: The flint-and-wick mechanism works perfectly, bright spark and flawless flame (see photo 1).
* Ready to use: Wick and fuel cotton revised.
* Cosmetic condition: Very good used condition for its age, remarkable preservation of the anodized colors with a slight vintage patina that gives it all its charm.

A bit of history:
Made in France after the war, the COP lighter benefits from advances in aluminum anodizing (widely used in aviation). Its hermetically sealed cylindrical “windproof” design allowed it to be slipped into a pocket or bag without risk of gasoline leakage. A genuine mechanical collector’s item and a testament to French industrial design of the 1940s–50s!
