Description from the seller
For sale, magnificent vintage gas table/handheld lighter from the Binalite brand, model "Euroflame" made in Japan (Japan and brand engraved under the base).
This 1960s–1970s model features an elegant horizontal design in chrome metal with a brown leather-like wrap on the body.
Pros & Condition:
* 100% Functional: Recharged and tested, the automatic lever ignition mechanism produces a very nice flame immediately (see ignition photo).
* Sealed: No gas leaks at the reservoir or valve.
* Complete with original box & documentation: Supplied in its rigid vintage satin-lined case ("Binalite Euroflame Foreign") as well as its original multi-language folding manual, including maintenance diagrams and flame adjustment instructions.
* Cosmetic condition: Good vintage overall. Note a slight glue wear / aging mark under the upper lever cover, completely invisible when the lighter is closed.
A bit of history:
During the 1960s and 1970s, Japanese engineering revolutionized the gas lighter market with ultra-reliable and very precise automatic mechanisms. The "Foreign" label on the case was affixed to imports intended for the European market at that time. A rare set to find, also complete with its box and period paper manual!
