Daniele Teobaldelli was born in 1949 in Macerata, and passed away in 2026—the artist since the 1980s has devoted himself to the study of the Italian Classics, then to the study of the Impressionists and to Cubism. His painting turned toward a Realism expressed through paintings of nudes, portraits, and still lifes. He paints landscapes of Italian and Greek glimpses, free compositions of mythological and fantastic themes. His work is characterized by the influences of classical art and the suggestive power of primitive art. Teobaldelli has often exhibited in Italy, but with great frequency and public success he has held exhibitions in Greece, where he has resided for a long time. With his works he attempts to capture the essence of reality beyond superficiality: matter is represented in its eternity and continuity. Beginning with the Impressionist lesson, he matures his personal artistic philosophy that leads him to paint the world not filtered by the subjectivity of the five senses but in its essential nature. His works grasp this essential nature of reality, reflecting on the theme of color and painterly brushwork.
