AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Dylan Dog 480 variant Blank Cover beautifully illustrated by Master Maurizio Di Vincenzo!

The variant celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the Indagatore del mistero, and the illustration on the cover is a true spectacle for Dylan Dog fans.

The colored drawing, done in mixed media, depicts Dylan Dog (face/shoulders) with an intense gaze and blood-tearful eyes. Blood also pours from the title of the issue, creating a background of red rain that is very evocative.

The illustration as a whole is truly intense, and executed in an excellent manner.

Obviously this is a unique piece!

THE AUTHOR: MAURIZIO DI VINCENZO

Born in Teramo in 1958. In the mid-1980s he begins collaborations with the best-known Italian publishing houses and publishes in “Skorpio”, “Lanciostory” and “Intrepido”. Subsequently he creates for Comic Art a series written by Giuseppe Ferrandino. For Granata Press he collaborates on the magazine “Nero” and on the series created by Franco Saudelli, “La Bionda.”

He draws the episode “Efesto” for the series “I Grandi Miti Greci a Fumetti di Luciano De Crescenzo”, published by Mondadori/De Agostini. He draws two stories for the ESP series for the publishing house Universo. He joins the Dylan Dog staff, drawing episodes of the mini-series “Demian” and “Cassidy” by Pasquale Ruju and collaborates with illustrator Giuseppe Barbati on the series “Magico Vento.”

Also for Sergio Bonelli Editore he creates together with Alessia Fattore “Scacco alla Regina” for the “Le Storie” collection. In France he publishes “Rangaku” from scripts by Luca Enoch for Les Humanoïdes Associés.

He is, together with Valerio Piccioni and Emiliano Tanzillo, the cover artist of Samuel Stern by Bugs Comics and is currently at work on some Dylan Dog stories.
