This work is clearly a homage to one of his dear friends with whom he helped shape the painting scene of Piazza del Popolo in Rome.
The airplane is indeed one of the themes that most characterizes the works of maestro Franco Angeli, who, together with Tano Festa and Mario Schifano, helped delineate the history of Italian contemporary art in the seventies with their Italian 'Pop Art.'
Part of a series of graphics representing the maestro's most iconic and brilliant works from his career.
