• The rise of the "Pop": Both The Beatles' music and Andy Warhol's art used elements of mass culture (radio, advertising, everyday products, fame) to transform them into high culture and social critique.
• The Beatles posters: Between 1964 and 1967, in the midst of Beatlemania, Warhol produced silkscreen prints and images inspired by the members of the British band, applying his iconic vibrant colors and photographic contrasts identical to those he used with Marilyn Monroe or Jackie Kennedy.
• Relationship with John Lennon: Warhol maintained a closer connection to the music scene (as evidenced by his famous work with The Velvet Underground) and, subsequently, with John Lennon in New York during the 70s, portraying him on several occasions and sharing circles of New York's artistic bohemia.
