Walter Valentini (Pergola, October 22, 1928 – Milan, May 20, 2022) was an Italian painter, sculptor and engraver, internationally recognized in the field of graphics and engraving.

He was a master of techniques such as etching, aquatint, drypoint, color lithography, and intaglio.
Numerous awards won and participations: 1st Biennale of Contemporary Italian Engraving in Venice in 1955; International Biennial of Ibiza and Listowel; International Biennial of Krakow 1984; International Biennial of Ljubljana in 1984 and 1989; “XLVII” Venice Biennale; Rome Quadriennale in 1999.

Era maestro di tecniche quali l'acquaforte, l'acquatinta, la puntasecca, la litografia a più colori, la calcografia.
Numerosi i premi vinti e le partecipazioni: 1° Biennale dell’incisione Italiana contemporanea a Venezia nel 1955 ; Biennale Internazionale di Ibiza e di Listowel; Biennale Internazionale di Cracovia del 1984; Biennale Internazionale di Lubliana nel 1984 e 1989 ; “XLVII” Biennale di Venezia; Quadriennale di Roma del 1999.
