Description from the seller
"The Red Dinnerware" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García.
The work presents a table set beside a large window open to the garden. On a bright blue tablecloth is arranged red dinnerware decorated with small light motifs, accompanied by a centerpiece of yellow flowers that introduces a vegetal presence at the heart of the scene.
The composition is built around the dialogue between interior and exterior. The windows and their multiple panes frame fragments of vegetation, sky and architecture, while natural light enters the room and projects onto the curtain a delicate succession of geometric shadows. This play of light adds depth and turns a domestic corner into a particularly serene scene.
The palette combines soft blues and greens with the burgundy and reddish tones of the dinnerware. The yellow of the flowers acts as a bright accent, while whites, violets and greenish reflections enrich the sensation of a morning bathed in sunlight. The brushwork remains visible and spontaneous, especially in the vegetation, the reflections and the folds of the tablecloth.
The prominence of color, the arranged table, the open window and the relationship between domestic space and nature echo the modern interior tradition and Fauvism, with affinities to Henri Matisse.
"The Red Dinnerware" transforms the simple gesture of setting a table into an intimate and luminous scene, where light, color and everyday objects build an atmosphere of calm and well-being.
