We present at auction a refined cult object of high craftsmanship signed Cartier: the classic, timeless oval-design Briquet lighter. This iconic model represents a symbol of absolute luxury and elegance, characterized by a beautiful gilded finish enhanced by a refined vertical ribbed pattern (godronatura) that not only elongates its lines but also provides a secure grip and a pleasant tactile feel.

Mechanically and functionally, the item is in absolutely excellent condition. The lighter has recently undergone scrupulous and thorough professional maintenance to guarantee full efficiency. It has been refilled with the appropriate gas, equipped with a new flint, and rigorously tested: as clearly visible in the photographs, the roller mechanism operates perfectly smoothly and the lighter is fully functional, producing a stable, bright, and regular flame.

The conservation state of this specimen is to be considered good overall, being a fascinating vintage object with a lived-in charm. The body is solid and mechanically flawless; however, in full compliance with our strict policy of total transparency, there are natural signs of aging, minor superficial scratches, and a natural patina of wear on the gilding—typical of everyday use and giving the piece an authentic vintage character. The gilded back bears clearly the original factory inscriptions and the famous Cartier script logo, guaranteeing the piece’s absolute authenticity.
