This striking motif shows the official poster artwork as a flyer for the world-famous Berlin musical, which celebrated its world premiere on 13 January 2011 at the historic Potsdamer Platz and was visited by over two million people.
The work (book by Thomas Brussig, directed by Ulrich Waller) portrays Udo’s real, East–West German love story with the “Girl from East Berlin” and bridges to the year 1989, when his cult hit “Hinterm Horizont” became the hymn of reunification and hope just before the fall of the Wall. Here you can see the two lead actors of the Berlin premiere cast: Josephin Busch (as the East Berlin girl Jessy) and Serkan Kaya (in the role of the rock musician Udo Lindenberg).
