Venaria Reale (1999) XL
Galleria Diana. The Great Gallery, also known as the Galleria Diana, is one of the architectural jewels of the Reggia di Venaria Reale, located near Turin, in Piedmont. This extraordinary eighteenth-century masterpiece, the product of the scenic genius of Filippo Juvarra, represents one of the highest expressions of Baroque architecture. Its dimensions are imposing: the central dome reaches a height of about 15 meters, while the gallery extends 80 meters in length and 12 meters in width, creating an environment of grand elegance and luminosity.
This image, produced in 1999, is part of a study on restoration by photographer Franco Turcati.
