He was a historically important figure.
Born in San Lorenzo in Campo, Pesaro, in 1935 and passed away in 2022
Painter, Sculptor, Draftsman, Engraver, Writer, Poet. Subjects: post-Cubist and abstract explorations. Besides being a painter, he was also a writer; he published over 10 novels with renowned publishers, such as Rizzoli.
He was a Dominican friar who dedicated his life to caring for and supporting those in need. Thanks to his generosity and dedication, Paolo da San Lorenzo became known as the “angel of San Lorenzo.” He played a fundamental role in assisting residents of the neighborhood during periods of famine and epidemics, ensuring food, medical care, and spiritual comfort.
