Anglo Amer Safety fountain pen with a retractable 14K gold nib, gold‑plated 18K.R body, Italian origin, circa 1925–1935, 15 cm long and 1 cm in diameter, in used condition with probable small missing parts, in working order.
Description from the seller
Anglo-America – Safety fountain pen with retractable 14K gold nib – circa 1925/1935
Interesting vintage Anglo-Amer fountain pen, presumably dating to the late 1920s / early 1930s.
Safety-type model, characterized by the special mechanism that allows the nib to retract inside the pen body.
The body is made of ebonite with an elegant 18 K.R. gold-plated coating, decorated with incised ornamental bands. The body bears the marking “ANGLO-AMER 18 K.R.”.
Particularly interesting is the original 14 carat gold nib, marked “ANGLO-AMER 14K N.YORK”, clearly visible in the photographs.
The cap is fitted with the characteristic suspension ring, typical of pocket fountain pens of the era.
The pen shows normal signs of use, patina, small scratches and traces of time compatible with an object of about a century old.
The retractable nib is shown both in closed position and extended in the photographs. The loading system and writing with ink have not been tested, therefore full usability cannot be guaranteed.
An interesting item for collectors of vintage fountain pens and period writing.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and show details, markings and the condition of the item.
