Description of the Item
Description:
Splendid and refined vintage gas pocket lighter signed KBL, model Excellent, dating from the late 20th century (circa the 1970s/1980s) and of prestigious Japanese craftsmanship.
This model stands out for its modern electronic / push piezo ignition: the mechanism does not use the traditional flint or wheel, but generates the spark instantly by simply pressing the upper plunger.
The lighter features an elegant and timeless gold finish with a classic vertical ribbing pattern ("millerighe") that gives unique light reflections and a good grip. The minimalist, slim and geometric design perfectly embodies the luxury accessories style of that era.
This lot includes its original vintage rigid case, with dark blue velvet interior and the KBL Excellent logo embossed on the inside of the lid. On the bottom of the lighter, the original factory-applied paper seal is still partially present.
General conditions:
• Functioning: Fully functional. The piezoelectric ignition responds promptly to pressure, releasing the spark; the valve holds gas without leaks and the flame adjustment is smooth.
• Aesthetics: Excellent cosmetic condition, almost mint (New Old Stock / Very good used). The gold plating is bright and free of significant abrasions, deep scratches or dents. The original box is intact and in good preserved condition.
