Omar Galliani, Viso (Dalla serie dei volti e costellazioni), a hand-signed 1998 screen print in a limited edition of 100 (71/100), measuring 50 × 50 cm, in excellent condition with full margins.
Description from the seller
Important and elegant original graphic (art screenprint) by the Emilian master Omar Galliani (1954), among the leading figures of contemporary figuration and of the Anachronism movement.
The work perfectly embodies the artist's most celebrated and sought-after stylistic signature: the monumental study of the female face immersed in a dense weave of chiaroscuro hatchings that recall the tradition of Renaissance drawing, enriched by subtle overlapping graphic filaments in transparency and a strong symbolic contrast. In the lower quadrant a pictorial element is highlighted, traced in a deep ultramarine blue.
The specimen is part of a limited and exclusive edition of only 100 copies worldwide.
- Pencil numbering at bottom left: 71/100.
- Handwritten autograph signature by the artist at bottom right.
- Conditions: Excellent state of preservation, sheet intact and untoned with wide margins, never framed. Provenance from private collection.
