Article: WATERMAN'S BLACK FOUNTAIN PEN with a chrome-plated metal clip cap and a gold ring, 14-karat gold nib
Reference / Edition: Waterman's Shorthand (engraved on the nib), made in England
Length: 11.5 cm
Diameter: 1.1 cm
Nib: F
Period: 1940s-1950s
Materials: body and cap in polished black resin, clip and cap reinforcement in chrome metal with the "WATERMANS" engraving, golden separating ring, black grip section with amber translucent nib/feed and nib marked "Waterman's Shorthand 14 CT". Lever-fill system with rubber reservoir.
Condition: good overall condition for a used piece. The body retains its shine and the engraving "FOUNTAIN PEN / MADE IN ENGLAND" reads clearly, though somewhat worn. In the cap there are fine signs of use and wear on the clip and the chrome piece, with areas more matte and darkened. The nib is intact, with no bends or separation at the tips, and the grip shows traces of old ink typical of its age. The filling system has not been tested: a check of the reservoir is recommended before using it with ink.
Accessories: only the loose piece; no box or papers visible in the photos.
