E. García - Desnudo en el sofá XL

"Nude on the Sofa" is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García.

The work presents an intimate scene in which a naked female figure rests on a sofa, absorbed in reading. The body appears naturally integrated into an interior dominated by different shades of blue, creating a silent and intimate atmosphere.

The composition combines the geometry of architecture and furniture with the soft lines of the figure. The light entering laterally through the window introduces yellow and warm tones that contrast with the deep blues of the walls, the sofa, and the floor. A lamp, a rug, and a painting in the background complete the sense of domestic and lived space.

The loose, visible brushwork, the treatment of light, and the simplification of forms place the work within contemporary figuration with echoes of intimacy and the modern tradition of the female nude, without losing a personal pictorial language.

A serene and contemplative work that combines nude, interior, and everyday life. Particularly appealing to collectors interested in the human figure, the female nude, intimate scenes, reading, interiors, contemporary figurative painting, and compositions dominated by blue.
