AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Art Pepper – Meets the Rhythm Section

A fantastic first US stereo pressing of Art Pepper’s highly acclaimed Meets the Rhythm Section, released in 1958 on Contemporary Records (S7018). Recorded in Los Angeles with one of the greatest rhythm sections in jazz, this legendary session features Art Pepper on alto saxophone alongside Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums. The album captures Pepper at his very best and is widely regarded as one of the essential West Coast jazz recordings.

This original stereo edition comes complete with the original inner sleeve. The combination of Pepper’s lyrical alto playing and the exceptional Miles Davis rhythm section makes this a true classic and a must-have for serious jazz collectors.

Condition: Cover EX, with only light signs of age and handling. Vinyl EX, close to NM, with only very minor signs of use. A beautiful and well-preserved copy of this classic first stereo pressing.
