Magnificent photograph of John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy photographed on the balcony of La Fortaleza, the official residence of the governor of Puerto Rico, in San Juan, on December 15, 1961, during the presidential couple’s official visit to the island.
The presidential couple appears facing the crowd gathered in front of the residence. Jacqueline Kennedy, smiling, brings her hand to her ear as if to better hear the crowd’s acclamations, while John F. Kennedy observes the scene beside her.
