Mara. J XL - Lapis Grove

In a deep blue background, with oil reflections, a flowering of golden leaves lights up, warm as honey in the glow of sunset. Up above the foliage is dense and bright, almost a golden weave that lets the blue show through between one leaf and another; below it thins and darkens, and the light-colored final leaves glow, suspended on the shadow. Thin violet stems rise from the bottom and bind the two worlds. The botanical imprints, layered and textured, give the surface a rich grain to touch with the eye. A serene and luminous work, suspended at the moment when the gold of evening meets the first blue of night.

Mara J. explores the beauty and intensity of nature and the human body, creating works that tell emotions and moods through light and form. Her landscapes evoke fluid, suspended atmospheres, where color and luminosity shape space, while human figures, delicate and introspective, become a means of emotional expression. Each painting is an invitation to immerse oneself in a world of subtle sensations, where nature and the human being intertwine in a deep dialogue.
