Description from the seller

In a majestic chiaroscuro of clear light and shadow worthy of the Dutch Golden Age, a noble 17th-century lady, dressed in a rich black velvet gown and adorned with an imposing lace jabot, poses with solemn, imperturbable dignity. Yet the absolute seriousness of her aristocratic expression violently contrasts with the ongoing action: she delicately savors the fries of a famous red fast-food cone of contemporary culture. This unexpected intrusion of mass consumer culture at the heart of a classical portrait creates a surprising and deeply ironic anachronism. The work captivates with its flawless technical execution, where light caresses with the same nobility both the delicacy of the lace and the crispy golden glow of the fries. The Yack signs here a brilliant piece, questioning with subversive humor our relationship with the icons of art history and with globalization.

Dimensions: 40 x 60 cm.
Framing: Ready to be framed or hung directly on the wall.
Authenticity: Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.

Inspired by classical and modern painting, Le Yack brings a contemporary gaze to his creations, integrating strong cinematic narrative elements. His works are characterized by bright colors, clean lines, and expressive compositions.
The artist also explores different forms of artistic production. Some of his works are reproduced in series on canvassed frames, thus creating limited editions accessible to a wider audience. Other works are created as unique paintings on canvas, adding an exclusive and authentic dimension to his collection. Le Yack’s style reflects a fusion between traditional realism and the creative possibilities offered by digital technology.
