Cartier - Oval Roy King - Pocket lighter - Gold-plated, Blue lacquer

The diagonal floral scrollwork gives this Cartier lighter a lovely decorative touch without feeling too flashy. With its classic oval shape and matching red Cartier presentation box, it's a particularly attractive piece for collectors.

[Appearance]
This is a vintage Cartier Paris lighter featuring a beautiful deep blue finish combined with intricate gold-tone floral engraving.
The slim, oval-shaped body is decorated with sweeping diagonal bands of finely detailed scrollwork, creating an elegant contrast against the rich blue panels.
One of my favorite details is the way the blue surface catches the light, revealing subtle swirling patterns beneath its glossy finish. The engraved gold-tone sections feature flowing leaves and ornamental curls, giving the lighter a distinctive, decorative appearance.
The engraving continues across the flip-top lid, creating a nicely coordinated design from top to bottom. Fine textured borders along the edges add another interesting detail.
The base is engraved with "Cartier Paris," "SWISS MADE," and " CARTIER," along with a serial marking that appears to read "C 72345."
There are visible fine scratches, small scuffs, and signs of age-related wear on the blue surfaces and metal components. The bottom plate and outer edges show noticeable rubbing and some discoloration from previous handling.
However, the deep blue finish remains visually striking, and the detailed gold-tone engraving still retains much of its beautiful definition.
The combination of rich color, decorative metalwork, and natural vintage wear gives this piece a lot of character.
It also comes with a red Must de Cartier presentation box featuring a cream-colored interior and gold lettering. The box shows some signs of storage and age, but it makes a lovely addition to the overall presentation.
