Description from the seller

Many years ago, more precisely in 2010, Alba bottled a Glenglassaugh, which was already very old at the time, still under a different label. 96 bottles of this cask have remained in Scotland, we wanted to have them come later. And as the devil would have it, our portfolio changed a lot at that time, we discontinued the old label and the 96 bottles were virtually forgotten.

Well and properly stored, but still quite dusty, they have now found their way to Germany after all. Since the Glenglassaugh has already spent almost twelve years in the bottle, it has changed. A development has taken place that can often be observed in whiskies bottled a very long time ago and which is often referred to as "Old Bottle Flavour". An aromatic development towards sweet herbaceous aromas, such as sage, for example.

Tasting Notes

Scent: a herbal explosion with sage, eucalyptus and fennel.

Taste: salty-sweet, culinary herbs, tea, gooseberry and lychee.

Finish: Sweet oak, suede and grapefruit
