Promotional card for the official Udo Lindenberg musical “Hinterm Horizont,” which was performed from November 2016 at the Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg on the Reeperbahn.
The iconic motif in the unmistakable “Panical” style centers the legendary inscription “Ich Mach Mein Ding.”
The promotional card promotes the official Udo Lindenberg musical “Hinterm Horizont.” The piece is based in part on the autobiographical East-West German love story between West German rock musician Udo Lindenberg and East Berlin girl Jessy during the era of the Berlin Wall. After a spectacular, years-long run in Berlin, the celebrated success musical moved in November 2016 for an exclusive final guest appearance to Hamburg’s Stage Operettenhaus on the Reeperbahn. Specifically for this Hamburg run, the show was musically and content-wise revised and expanded with legendary Kiel classics such as the song “Reeperbahn.”
This musical is among the most successful German musical productions ever and has set historical records. Especially at its main venue, it was a phenomenon: Berlin’s most successful musical. During its five-year run (2011 to 2016) at Stage Theater am Potsdamer Platz, the piece drew around two million visitors. Thus it remains the most successful musical ever shown in the capital for its duration (ensuing production).
