A lovely antique Japanese porcelain large ewer with a central decoration of Men with Banners, in a Landscape with many Trees, Mountains and Flowers. Exceptional deep blue, executed in a nice underglaze blue and white. In the border a classical decoration of very bold painted floral and geometrical patterns. Handcrafted in ancient Japan during the Edo period (1600-1868), ca. 1640. On the bottom an unglazed foot rim, showing age and material and a mark. Guaranteed original and of the stated period. Magnificent colors!

Height: 28,5 centimeter

Condition: The object is in good condition, no damages visible but under UV light a visible shallow flake from the top rim. The condition is carefully checked with strong UV-light and bright translucent white light.
