Exceptional vintage music box with cigarette dispenser, made in Japan in the 1960s and today admired for its rare and imaginative design. This fascinating mechanical object features two finely detailed peacocks on its doors, with a frame enriched by several precious materials, including elements in gold-plated metal.
By pulling the side lever, the doors open and the music starts, all via a completely manual mechanism. The interior reveals the cigarette compartment, designed with the remarkable craftsmanship typical of mid-century Japanese automata.
Marked with the inscription "Windmill" and patent number 34710 (see photo), the piece is fully functional and in excellent condition, making it a highly sought-after collectible for lovers of music boxes, mechanical curiosities, or vintage tobacco-related items.
