Tonino Caputo (1933-2021) - Manhattan Bridge

Splendid acrylic on canvas by Master Tonino Caputo, a prominent exponent of Italian figurative painting of the late twentieth century. The work depicts the Manhattan Bridge, one of the artist's most cherished subjects during his long stays in New York.
The painting perfectly embodies Caputo's stylistic signature: an audacious low-to-high perspective, combined with a sharp graphic gesture and a vibrant color palette that transfigures industrial architecture into an almost pop icon. An artwork that unites European sensibility with American metropolitan dynamism.
