Biography
Pidder Auerberg was a German artist whose multifaceted work is notably shaped by experimental printmaking, drawing, and photography. He studied at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Peter Brüning and Gerhard Richter. Central to his graphic work is the engagement with form, line, structure and the creative possibilities of different printing techniques. His works move between figuration and abstraction and are characterized by an independent, often experimental visual language. By combining traditional graphic methods with innovative artistic approaches, Auerberg developed a distinctive body of work within German art of the second half of the 20th century.
