This is the predecessor of the Africa Twin and Transalp. One of the early heavy dual-sport machines alongside, among others, the BMW R80G/S.
Technically a very good motorcycle.
Three years ago a lot of work was done to bring it into this condition.
New at the time of installation:
- Tires
- Battery
- Wilbers rear shock absorber
- Bearings in rear swingarm
- Filters
- Spark plugs
- Fork seals
- Fluids
- Tank cleaned
- Carburators ultrasonically cleaned
Virtually everything in original paint. Still with the original exhausts. Many stickers still present.
The engine runs and shifts perfectly. Drives nicely and could even be used as a daily rider. I personally have ridden it about 3000 kilometers in recent years.
Visually still some work to do.
The tank is dented and has some scratches.
Front fender, flyscreen also scratched.
Very small hole in the seat.
