Description from the seller
Refined and imposing modernist sculpture created by the Italian master sculptor and painter Nado Canuti (Bettolle, 1929). The work belongs to the prolific and sought-after series of the "Onirogrammi" (developed since the early 1970s), where the geometric and architectural rigor of the structure fuses with the figurative lightness and organic detail in relief.
The piece is characterized by an elegant material bi-chromatism: a solid architecture in patinated/darkened bronze contrasted with elements in polished gilded bronze (the stylized human/organic figure and the series of spherical and cylindrical details on the body and the base).
General conditions: Good / Very good
The sculpture is in excellent structural conservation and with the original patina of the period.
Surface and patina: Mild and natural signs of use on the metal consistent with its age.
Base: Shows a small superficial abrasion/scuff on the patina near the lower edge of the base (visible in the detail photos), which does not affect the piece’s solidity and fits the natural lived-in quality of the work.
No structural damage, components firmly fixed and stable.
