Description: A hard-edge geometric composition created especially for the iconic Stedelijk Museum portfolio designed by Wim Crouwel and printed by Total Design, Amsterdam. Bob Bonies is the leading Dutch representative of concrete art, whose monochrome plans of pure color and elementary shapes have defined the face of geometric abstraction in the Netherlands since the 1960s; his participation in “Vormen van de kleur,” alongside the international avant-garde, marked his decisive breakthrough. The portfolio brought together original silkscreens by Kelly, Bonies, Pfahler and Turnbull, alongside a panorama of contemporary abstraction (Albers, Newman, Stella, Judd, Vasarely, Noland and others).
