Description from the seller
The "Powered Acoustic" series (often commercially referred to as "Power Acoustic" or associated with the Groovin' by Morris line) is a famous and distinctive range of guitars produced in Japan in the 1980s (and late 1970s) by the historic Japanese brand.
These instruments represent a fascinating piece of the history of "Made in Japan" lutherie thanks to their unique hybrid design.
Main Features
Hybrid Design (Solid Body / Semi-Solid): Unlike traditional hollow-body acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars, the Power Acoustic series (as seen in the well-known models PA-28F, PA-17G, or PA-190G) features a structural configuration similar to a solid-body electric guitar or with an extremely slim profile (shallow body).
Materials: Generally built with a spruce top and a mahogany body, they offer fretboards up to 24 frets, borrowing the ergonomics of electric guitars of the period.
Stage Electronics: Specifically designed for live performances, these guitars mounted integrated piezo pickup systems with volume and tone controls on the body. The absence of a true deep hollow resonant body drastically reduced feedback issues (the Larsen effect) on high-volume stages.
Obviously the exterior condition isn’t pristine (see photos) but the neck, body, and setup are OK.
The preamp also works perfectly.
