Title: Confusion of Identity
Size: 60 x 60 cm
Year: 2026
Irene Caligo is a contemporary painter who explores the human figure as a space of emotional tension and suspension. Her works fuse references to the European figurative tradition with a current chromatic sensibility, through layering of color, fragmentation of form, and material interventions. Faces and hands become central elements of a search that investigates the boundary between presence and dissolution, creating intimate and silent images, open to the viewer's interpretation.

Note: The artwork will be shipped inside a sturdy tube suitable for shipping. The colors of the painting may differ slightly from the photos due to screen settings. In person, the artworks are more beautiful than in photography: you can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
