Maita is proud to present an exclusive collection of pens inspired by great philosophers, particularly Socrates, a fundamental figure of Western philosophy and the father of critical thought. Made in precious Italian burgundy-mottled resin and silver, the pen design features a clip that reproduces one of the universal symbols of philosophy. The ring on the cap – in silver – is engraved with Socrates’ profile on the front and the motto: "Only he who knows that he does not know is wise, not he who deludes himself into thinking he knows and thus even ignores his own ignorance" on the back.
At the top of the cap is set a small coin depicting an owl, a symbol of philosophy and wisdom, regarded as such by Hegel in the nineteenth century.
