S.T. Dupont gold-plated guillotine cigar cutter featuring the Maison’s distinctive vertical lines / Godron pattern.
The elegant rectangular cutter has a central circular guillotine mechanism and a finely ribbed gold-plated finish. The central plate is engraved “S.T. Dupont – PARIS – MADE IN FRANCE.”
The cutter is accompanied by its original S.T. Dupont protective sleeve, which is included with the lot.
The cutter is in excellent condition, having been barely used with minimal signs of wear. Light surface marks and micro-scratches may be visible upon close inspection. The protective sleeve shows more noticeable signs of age and storage wear, as visible in the photographs.
Approximate dimensions: 5.5 × 3.5 × 0.3 cm.
A refined French-made S.T. Dupont smoking accessory dating from approximately 2000–2010, with the classic vertical-line/Godron decoration. The matching documented S.T. Dupont example is identified as gold-plated metal, produced in France at the beginning of the 21st century, with the same 5.5 × 3.5 cm dimensions.
The “Ph. G.” initials engraved on the cutter are confirmed by the previous owner to be his personal initials. The piece was received as a gift, and the precise origin of the personalisation is unknown.
