Description from the seller

We present the Marlen Imperium Romanum Collection
A pen born to celebrate an empire, a culture that forms the basis of today’s Western civilization: the Roman Empire, which consolidated in the euro-Mediterranean area between the 1st century BC and the 4th century AD, is considered the greatest in terms of management and quality of the territory, of socio-political organization, and of the significance of the mark left in human history. In all the territories where they extended their borders, the Romans built cities, roads, bridges, aqueducts, exporting their model of civilization everywhere while assimilating the subjected peoples and civilizations. After the fall of the Empire these people continued to define themselves as Romans.

- The cap is made of precious mottled red resin with brass rings. The broad silver band bears the two dates that generally identify the beginning and end of a single state entity (27 BC - 395 AD) and the acronym SPQR, common on late medieval Roman Senate coins (and currently appearing in the municipal coat of arms of Rome). On the brass head is housed a resin disk on which the Marlen logo in silver is proudly displayed.
- The clip in the shape of a sword is in 925 silver on which a small piece of hand-made wood is inlaid.
- The body of the pen consists of a band in 925 silver on which, in high/low relief, the effigy of Augustus, the eagle symbol of imperial power, and the map of the Roman Empire are reproduced. Completing the body are a series of brass rings and mottled red resin alternated.
