Magnificent original print (color etching and aquatint) by the famous Argentine artist Héctor Saunier, created in 2008.
Entitled "Esperanza mágica", this work is a perfect demonstration of the viscosity technique and color simultaneous printing, of which Saunier became the undisputed master after taking over the direction of the Atelier Contrepoint / Atelier 17 in Paris following S.W. Hayter’s death. The composition offers exceptional dynamism with its characteristic interlaced lines and the superb blue gradients and green-gray tones.
The work includes a handwritten dedication in the artist’s own hand on the upper margin: "to dear Elise, for her birthday, Sept. 2008 from Hector", attesting to an intimate and direct provenance.
