AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

In Search of Balance: Carrara marble from the famous Michelangelo quarries. Unique and precious piece.

Maurizio Toffoletti was born in Lecce, in southern Italy.
The marble fascinates him.
A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts of Lecce, where he received solid classical training, Michelangelo, his early influences are those of antiquity—Egyptian in particular—classics that guided his early explorations.
Since 1990 Maurizio Toffoletti has sought to make the marble vibrate, and there he succeeds: the marble becomes resonant under the caress.

The “sound sculptures” and the “sculptures of light” installed in the courtyard of the Paris Prefecture of Police drew attention during Nuit Blanche 2010.
The installations on Place Vendôme 2005, the Parvis de La Défense 2007,
All these exhibitions, also around the world, reveal to the public what his role is and the significant place he occupies in contemporary creation.

A work of great value and rising recognition, displayed in several museums and art galleries in Europe, provided with a certificate of authenticity, insured shipping, and meticulous and careful packaging for this beautiful unique artwork defined by the artist as "sculpture in the search for balance".
Gallery value of the sculpture: 500/600 euros.
