Savinelli Milano - Vintage Luxury Wooden Tobacco / Humidor Box - Italy, 1960-1970
A beautiful and rare vintage luxury tobacco/humidor box crafted by the prestigious Italian manufacturer Savinelli Milano, dating back to the 1960s-1970s. Savinelli is world-renowned for its high-end pipes and smokers' accessories, making this a highly collectible item for tobacciana enthusiasts.
Design & Materials:
- Top Lid: Features an exquisite burl walnut veneer border framing a classic, finely detailed English fox hunting scene lithograph.
- Structure & Interior: The interior is completely lined with premium solid wood (fine grain), expertly crafted with a protective lip/inner rim ensuring a secure wood-on-wood closure.
- Hardware: Equipped with a sturdy, long brass piano hinge at the back and an elegant, solid brass linear handle on the front, both displaying an authentic aged patina.
Authentication:
The original black and silver "S" shield sticker is fully intact on the bottom corner, reading "SAVINELLI MILANO-ITALY", guaranteeing its absolute authenticity.
Condition:
In excellent vintage condition with a beautiful natural patina. The wood structure is completely solid with precise mitered corner joints. The interior is very clean and free from any major stains or damage. The lid aligns perfectly and the brass hinge operates flawlessly. Minor, honest age-related wear to the lacquer on the outer edges and bottom base, as expected from an authentic item of this era (please see photos for details).
