Achille Pace, Senza titolo (3 acqueforti di paesaggi) titolo, is a limited edition set of three original aquaforte prints on Rosaspina Fabriano paper, each sheet about 25 × 35 cm with a matrix around 17 × 20 cm, signed in pencil and in good condition, produced in Italy in the 1980s.
Description from the seller
Achille Pace (Termoli, Italy, 1923–2024) was one of the leading protagonists of Italian art in the second half of the 20th century, founder of Gruppo Uno and author of a research that profoundly influenced the language of Italian sign-based abstraction.
The lot comprises three original etchings, all untitled, made on Rosaspina Fabriano paper for art printing. Each sheet measures about 25 × 35 cm, while the plate impression is about 17 × 20 cm.
The works are signed and numbered in pencil by the artist, as visible in the photographs.
These etchings document a less-known aspect of Achille Pace's production, characterized by an essential and poetic mark that reveals landscapes and forms barely suggested, maintaining that graphic lightness that will become one of the distinguishing elements of his artistic research.
The works come from the private collection of Francesco Bongiovanni, formed within the activity of master torcoliere Luciano Bongiovanni, who collaborated for many years with artists, publishers and art critics in the realization of important original editions of Italian graphics of the twentieth century.
There are no certificates of authenticity; however, provenance and the presence of the autograph signature are significant elements for the documentation of the lot.
The works are in generally good condition. The paper shows a slight and natural yellowing due to time and minimal signs of handling compatible with the age of the prints. These characteristics do not in any way compromise the aesthetic quality nor the full usability of the works.
Shipping will be carried out with professional packaging specific for graphic works, suitable to guarantee maximum protection during transport.
