It was first published in 1918 by Toko'en.
The book is a collection of nishikie reprints that depict Shogun Tokugawa Iemochi's 1863 journey from Edo to Kyoto. The actual series is entitled 'Tokaido meisho fukei' 東海道名所風景 (Famous Scenery from the Tokaido) and it features 17 artists of the Utagawa school including but not limited to: Hiroshige II, Yoshitoshi, Yoshimune, Yoshimori, Kunitsuna, and the list goes on.
The volume has no woodworm holes, no foxing. A few tears in the outside cardboard covers. The prints inside are in excellent condition. Yellowish due to age. Enjoy this scarce volume of Japanese art!
