Serial no. 7 4694 - Year of manufacture 2024. With all certificates and original case.
This reissue is made as the '57 models of the time, including a full solid mahogany body and very carefully finished. Hard ebony fretboard with beautiful historical medium-jumbo frets, in short, everything you could want. Heavy beauty, it weighs just over 4.5 kg.
This guitar has the so-called '50s Bumblebee wiring - see the photos.
I always modify my Gibsons with a Schaller roller bridge - this allows you to adjust the string spacing (see the photo), very important because with these Gibsons the spacing of the neck and bridge pickups is the same, i.e. 49.2mm. The knobs have been replaced with TrueLok vintage mod locking tuners with the gold Keystone buttons, that completes this beauty. If you maintain the strings in the nut well, this Gibson with the rollerbridge hardly ever goes out of tune.
The nut is made for a 10-46 string set.
The pickups have been replaced with Bare Knuckle True Grit humbuckers, which bang even harder.
The original Custombucker Alnico III pickups, as well as the original tuners, are included with the guitar.
The guitar has a small dent on the tone knobs and some scratches on the bridge - see photos.
This guitar has served me faithfully, but I am always seeking an older '57 Gibson and I have found one now. Therefore it should go to another Gibson enthusiast.
I ship them in the original Gibson boxes in which I bought them at the time, carefully packed.
