Description from the seller
Rare Fender '64 Vibroverb Custom - (Cesar Diaz / SRV Mod) – USA
A unique opportunity for the connoisseur, collector, and passionate guitarist.
This iconic and rare model is produced in a limited run and is seldom offered on the used market in this condition.
This Custom edition is designed in collaboration with the legendary "Amp Doctor" Cesar Diaz — the permanent amp technician of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Fender has built into this model the exact modifications Diaz applied to Stevie Ray Vaughan's own ’64 Vibroverbs (such as the well-known Stock / Modified switch on the back for more gain, overdrive and a deactivated vibrato circuit for extra punch).
Specifications & Features:
• Condition: visually in top condition. Technically no defects.
• Documentation: Includes original documentation/papers.
• Speaker: 15" Special Design Fender Loudspeaker (custom-built by Eminence Speaker Corp., Kentucky).
• Channels: Normal & Vibrato (with authentic tube-driven spring reverb and tremolo).
• Power: 40 - 50 Watts purely tube-powered.
• Back switches: Switchable between Stock '64 Vibroverb and Modified (Diaz Spec: More Gain & Overdrive).
• Origin: Hand-built in Corona, California, USA.
• Serial number: CR-279865
A rare piece of guitar history in a state that is very hard to find today. Perfect for the studio, on stage, or as a valuable collectible.
