AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Joseph BEUYS (1921-1986)
2 chromolithographs (on the same sheet), belonging to the artist's book "Zeichnungen zu Madrid Codex von Leonardo da Vinci" ("Drawings notebook on Leonardo da Vinci's Madrid Codices").
One of the best drawings of the entire "Codices" series.
Publisher: Manus Presse, 1975
Size: 23 x 15,7 cm.
900 copies published by the Stuttgart printing house.
Referenced: Schellmann 184.
The original book, in the format of a sketchbook designed by the artist, represents a hermeneutic by Beuys on Leonardo's "codices" discovered in Madrid in 1965. Interesting, like everything in Beuys, for its energetic line and transcendent pulse: a delight for the observer who recognizes the virtues of the Dusseldorf genius.
In perfect state.
Special 3D mounting (without adhesives). Frame size (with glass): 31,5 x 22,5 cm.
