Ivan Valtchev (1944) „Bull“ – Original-Gemälde Mischtechnik

Original work by Ivan Valtchev (born 1944) – “Bull” (mixed media, Galerie Fischer & Hermitage Monaco)
To be auctioned is a powerful original work by the renowned Bulgarian-American artist Ivan Valtchev.
• Title: Bull (Bull)
• Artist: Ivan Valtchev (born 1944)
• Technique: mixed media on paper (gouache, oil pastel/wax crayon and charcoal)
• Signature: bottom right, hand-signed by the artist
• Provenance: Galerie Fischer (Lucerne) & Hermitage Fine Art (Monaco)

Description of the work:
The work captivates with the dramatic contrast between the deep, gouache-rendered bull in the foreground and a dynamic, reddish figure study in the background.
This composition strongly recalls mythological themes such as the Minotaur or ancient bullfighting.
Valtchev is known for his energetic works and his ability to capture raw power and movement on paper. His pieces uniquely combine classical anatomy studies with modern, expressive abstraction.

Condition & details:
• Condition of the painting: good, original condition.
The paper shows age-related signs of wear (see photos).
• Framing: The work is suitably framed behind glass. The frame also shows age-related signs.
• Dimensions with frame: 86 x 67 cm
