The Pelikan 400NN in green stripe is a classic vintage piston-filling fountain pen from 1956 to 1965, and one of the most recognizable designs in Pelikan’s historic 400 family. It features the characteristic green-and-black striped barrel, black resin cap and turning knob, and gold-plated trim, together with a traditional 14K gold nib. Compared with the earlier 400 and 400N, the 400NN has a more elongated, streamlined profile and a more pronounced tapered shape at both ends. Its reliable piston mechanism, generous ink capacity and well-balanced proportions make it an excellent writer, while the distinctive striped finish and elegant post-war design give the 400NN strong appeal among collectors of vintage Pelikan pens.
The pen is in excellent, pre-owned condition and has been carefully cleaned. Imperfection: light scratches.
