Montblanc No. 252 piston-filling fountain pen from the second half of the 20th century, in black resin with gold-plated trim, a transparent ink window, and a 14K OB oblique broad nib, 12.5 cm long and 1.4 cm in diameter, made in Germany and in good working order with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
The Montblanc No. 252 is a classic piston-filling fountain pen from the 1950s and one of the characteristic models of Montblanc’s post-war production. It features a rounded black resin body, gold-plated trim, a transparent ink window and the distinctive wing-style gold nib construction used on several Montblanc models of the period. The 252 combines traditional piston-filler engineering with the compact, elegant proportions typical of 1950s Montblanc pens, giving it strong appeal both as a writing instrument and as a representative piece of the brand’s mid-century production.
This example is fitted with a 14K Oblique Broad (OB) gold nib, a less commonly encountered configuration than the usual F or M widths. The piston knob carries the original “B” marking together with an oblique-angle symbol, corresponding to the nib fitted to the pen. The oblique broad nib gives the pen a more expressive writing character and adds particular interest for collectors.
The pen is in very good, pre-owned condition and has been carefully cleaned. Imperfections: light scratches, marks and minor signs of use, slight plating issues. The piston operates smoothly, and the pen is ready to use.
